General
For those seeking sunshine, Arizona is still the place to be! One of the most exciting new opportunities in this beautiful Grand Canyon state is the rapidly growing town of Buckeye. Buckeye is the second-fastest growing municipality in the United States, with a growth of nearly 192% between 2000 and 2006. The town is the perfect choice for those who wish to have all the conveniences of the big city (Phoenix) without sacrificing the peace and quiet of a smaller community. Buckeye is just 36 miles from the major city of Phoenix, allowing residents to commute to work in the city but come home to relax in the peaceful surroundings of the town. Currently the population is just under 30,000 (as of 2006 census estimates). Nearby communities (all within 25 miles) include Goodyear, Litchfield Park, Avondale, Surprise, El Mirage, Youngtown, Sun City West, and Tolleson. Arizona's famously sunny and warm weather is much in evidence here, with temperatures ranging between 53-88 degrees F. With little precipitation, you'll never have to worry about having your golf game ruined by a chance thundershower.
